Washington Association baseball advances to territorial state title

On Thursday, No. 1 seed Washington Association baseball punched its ticket into the Division V-A SoCal Provincial state title game on Saturday in the wake of beating No. 4 seed Orange Glen, 6-0.

The Jaguars scored three in the principal inning, added three in the third and had a prevailing pitching execution by senior Tyler Kiggens.

Kiggens tossed his first profession no-hitter while striking out 9 players. Washington Association will have No. 2 West Slopes on Saturday. A beginning time is TBA.

In the interim, in Division I softball, No. 2 seed Clovis tumbled to No. 6 seed Westlake, 9-2. In Division III, No. 3 Fowler bested No. 2 Tulare Association 3-2 and will go to top-cultivated St. Bonaventure on Saturday.
