Former NHL players will be holding hockey clinics in Utah

As part of the “Frozen Fury” preseason game that will see the Los Angeles Kings play the Vegas Golden Knights at Vivint Arena on Sept. 30, two former Kings players will be holding on-ice hockey clinics at the arena the day before.

Derek Armstrong — who played two separate stints for the Kings, as well as the Salt Lake Golden Eagles and Utah Grizzlies — and Daryl Evans, who played for LA from 1981-85 and is the team’s longtime radio color commentator, will hold clinics for both kids and adults on Sept. 29.

There are three separate sessions scheduled for that day: one for ages 6-10, another for ages 11-15, and one for adults.

Registration includes a ticket to the game on Sept. 30. The price for the package ranges from $99-165 depending on the location of the ticket chosen for the game.
