Dream Come True: Hermantown’s Zam Plante excited to represent Team USA

Zam Plante, welcome to Team USA. The forward from Hermantown, Minnesota has officially made the roster for the U18 team.

Plante had 29 goals and 32 assists this past season, leading the Hawks in scoring in his sophomore season. He said the play out in New York was a little different than high school.

“Fast, pretty fast. I haven’t played at that level in a while. Faster than high school hockey that’s for sure. It’s a dream to play for USA, dream come true. Having such a good hockey community in Hermantown and being able to represent that on the USA hockey level is pretty awesome.”

Twenty-three players who participated in the Development Camp were named to the final roster. The team will compete August 2-7 at the Hlinka Gretzky Cup in Czech Republic and Slovakia.
